Nicolas Beynet
I discovered the canoe when I was 17 years old at Brusc, a small fishing village in the Var, where I grew up.
For a few years, I started to paddle in competition. Over time, I was looking for a more fun way to train, faster and more fun.
It is natural that I returned to the source "the canoe".
From there came a new passion, even a way of life that took me to Tahiti for the va'a world championships.
What I like in the canoe is its endless gliding power whatever the conditions.
The canoe is a way to go more easily on the water, it is an entertainment more than a sport. Outside of my championships, I use it mostly for fishing. It allows me to go faster and further.
What I like the most besides glide is the sharing and the conviviality. I often paddle with my little brother Bastien Beynet and Xavier Chambaud and Nicolas Dodane who are very good friends.
Recently I paddle with my daughter who has just been two years old and my girlfriend Elise, they love it.
From time to time I also train with Olivia Piana when she passes between two competitions.
I love downwind from Bandol or La Ciotat to Brusc.
If you want to test the boat and have a good time on the water come see me at Brusc
